REMOVAL OF OLD LPG CYLINDERS
PHONE: 0434447427
There are health & safety issues involved with removal, handling and storage of LPG tanks. Consideration must be given to the hazard of working in an explosive atmosphere and only approved equipment should be used. Only suitably trained personnel should be allowed to work on LPG vehicles before the LPG tank is removed. Under no circumstances should an LPG tank even if thought to be empty, be drilled or pierced to remove LPG.
Examples of excessive corrosion are shown above ,not always seen without the removal of the stone guard ! Though some tanks may appear new, It does not mean they are in test ! A compliance tag fitted to the tank will state the last time the tank was certified . LPG cylinders require recertification every 10 years .
